What makes us different from other selling platforms?

– Each seller must confirm the designer item is authentic and that it is of favourable condition.

– The photos that the buyer views, is of the actual item for sale –  showcasing its real condition.

– Each seller must ship within 24-48 hours so you do not have to wait longer than you have to with regular online service. If they are not able to ship within that timeframe, you are eligible for a refund.

– We ensure your item gets advertised using different methods eg. The Markitt Instagram & Facebook, via our subscriber database & last but definitely not least, we share your items to designer facebook groups on your behalf.

On top of all of this, we frequently research the market to make sure we are delivering the best service and prices.

What are the available payment methods?

We accept all major cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express) through approved Shopify merchants. We also offer PayPal which offers comprehensive buyer insurance.

What condition should I expect for a pre-owned item?

The Markitt is an online marketplace for selling & buying of new/near new/preloved designer clothing, so there may be signs of wear. We pride ourselves on ensuring that we are selling clothing that have
details of any slight imperfections and that it is still of value to our buyers (anything noted will be included in the item description).

Authenticating items

The sellers on the Markitt each accept the Terms & Conditions prior to being able to sell through this platform which covers the responsibility of ensuring the item for sale is authentic. The Markitt also takes extra precautions when a seller is supplying the content for their advertisement such as supplying additional images where they can prove the item is genuine e.g. brand label & care tags. We take authenticating very seriously which is why we have the refund policy in place so if an item is deemed to be a fake/replica, the seller will not receive any money and the buyer can be reimbursed.

Shipping & Returns

How long will it be until I receive my purchase?

Sellers will only be shipping within Australia to ensure that you receive your purchase efficiently.  All clothing is shipped within 24-48 hours of payment received & if for any reason a seller cannot do this (eg. out of town etc) you will be notified & you may request to cancel your purchase if the adjusted time frame does not suit. If you choose express postage, parcels are delivered by the next business day within the Express Postage Network operating between all capital cities and some major centres (except Darwin & Perth CBD only).All tracking numbers must be supplied by Sellers or we can cancel the order and process a refund.

What is the refund policy?

We can appreciate that online shopping doesn’t give you the opportunity to “try before you buy” so we will accept returns if an item is not as it was described. We must be notified of the intent to return an item within 4 days of the confirmed delivered date. In the case of a refund, please let our friendly customer service team know by completing the Refund Request form here
